3am by Eminem – new single from Relapse

3am deals with darker themes, pitting Eminem as a serial killer as he questions his own sanity and recalls various homicidal incidents. The song, according to Eminem, is said to be closer to the overall sound of the album, as opposed to the poppy, fun-poking “We Made You”.

If Em’s claim that “3AM” mirrors the overall tone of Relapse is true, we’ll need a night light to make it through this album when it hits stores May 19th.

3am by Eminem

Eminem quotes a famous line from the movie, The Silence of the Lambs, – “She puts the lotion in the bucket, she puts the lotion on the skin, or she gets the hose again”.
References to Hannah Montana and Kim Kardashian are also made.

The video will premiere on Cinemax, May 2 right before the movie The Strangers. A trailer for the video was released on April 30 at 3 a.m. EST, via Eminem’s Twitter.
